Ankle sprains

What it feels like
Pain and swelling on the side of the ankle after a roll or twist, sometimes with a lasting feeling that it could give way.
How we help
Restoring motion, then balance and strength training so the ankle is steady enough to trust again.
03

Achilles tendinopathy

What it feels like
Pain and stiffness at the back of the ankle, often worst in the morning or at the start of a run.
How we help
A calf and tendon strengthening program that adds load step by step, with hands-on care to ease pain.

Foot & Ankle Pain FAQ

Still have a question? Call us and a member of our team will help.

When should I have foot or ankle pain checked?

Book an evaluation if your pain lasts more than a few weeks, keeps you from normal activities, or comes with swelling or trouble putting weight on your foot.

I sprained my ankle. Do I really need therapy?

Many sprains feel better on their own, but the ankle can stay weak or unsteady. Therapy focuses on balance and strength so you are less likely to roll the same ankle again.

Can I treat foot pain at home?

Mild pain often improves with rest, ice, and supportive shoes. If it keeps coming back or is not improving after a couple of weeks, an evaluation can find out why.

Do my shoes matter?

They can. Worn-out or unsupportive shoes can add strain to your feet and ankles. Bring the shoes you wear most to your first visit so we can take a look.

Do you accept insurance?

Yes. We accept most major plans, including Medicare, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Aetna, Cigna, and UnitedHealthcare, and we verify your benefits before your first visit. Call (908) 282-3737 and we will check your coverage.
